POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT TRAINING
(Also known as R+, Force-Free or Reward-Based Training)
Among the many training methods available, positive reinforcement training for dogs is based on a humane ethos, one that prioritises building a strong bond with your dog. Instead of relying on coercive techniques or physical punishment, positive reinforcement teaches dogs through a reward system: When the dog performs a desired skill or exhibits a wanted behaviour, they are rewarded. Over time, the dog learns training cues and commands because of the encouragement the rewards provide.

PUPPY TRAINING
Small group, indoor 1 hour sessions, 1 session per week, for 6 weeks.
A fun and informative comprehensive course, developing your pups confidence and giving a great foundation in life skills transferable into real life situations.
DOG TRAINING
FOUNDATION SKILLS
Small group, indoor 1 hour sessions, 1 session per week, for 6 weeks.
Foundation classes focus on building your dogs confidence and teaching you how to train those all important foundation skills. covering key behaviours, settle, focus, recall, down, stays, stop, leave, loose lead walking, close work and much more.
1-2-1 TRAINING WALKS
Each walk is personally tailored to your dog’s training needs, such as loose lead walking or work on recall, and emergency stop skills.
Training walks are a great way to boost your dog’s training needs. We can focus on the areas and also appropriately socialise your dog. Creating as many opportunities to expose your dog to environments, teaching them how we want them to act in these environments and making each training opportunity as rewarding as possible.
GPS - GROUP DOG WALKS
1 hour GPS tracked group walk with fur friends in a great location offering woodland, park space and farmland. Your dog will be picked up & dropped off in an air conditioned van with individual crates equipped, longlines, water, treats and lots of dog toys & poo bags galore!
PET POP-IN's
My pet pop-in service means that you will be happy in the knowledge that your pets will be well looked after in the comfort of their own home. I will spend time with your pets, make a fuss, let them out for a toilet break, clean up any mess, feed, top up water as required and administer medication if your pet has particular needs.

SCENT DETECTION
Bronze Level
Scent detection (aka scentwork, nosework, scent training) is a growing dog sport that harnesses the natural power of your dog’s nose to search and find a scent.
It’s brilliant for improving focus, delivering mental stimulation, and tiring your dog out without running a marathon!
Your dog needs no previous training or obedience and it’s not physically challenging, so every dog can do it.

Hello, I'm Clair Emms a proud graduate of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) I'm committed to providing the most effective, convenient solutions to my clients’ dog training needs, I avidly pursue ongoing continuing education and professional development by attending several seminars per year and keeping current on all industry literature.
When not helping clients, I'm training my recently adopted challenging & complex rescue Cockapoo, Peggy.
